It’s Friday, May 28th in Thessaloniki, Ohio, and the sales team at Terry’s Cars & Automobiles is ready to launch the May Madness Memorial Day Weekend Meltdown sale.
Things are looking bleak. If they don’t meet their monthly target by selling 66 cars over the holiday weekend, they’ll end up in the red - and you don’t wanna know what happens then.
Like if David Lynch directed The Office, Terry’s: An American Tragedy About Cars, Customers, and Selling Cars to Customers is an absurd, character-rich, cabaret-style romp about desperation, desire, and… selling cars. Initially inspired by the This American Life podcast episode “129 Cars”, this brand new piece of theatre is all-singing, all-dancing, and loaded with balloons.
Join Terry’s motley, motor-mouthed crew as they try every trick in the book to get cars off the lot, keep the dealership in the black, and hang on to their sanity. There’s no guarantee they’ll make the target, but you’re bound to have the ride of your life…
